Winnie is a Registered Practical Nurse since March 2018. In December 2018, she completed the Medical Esthetics Practitioner Nurse (MEPN) program at Centennial College where she gained theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser and light therapies, and cosmetic injectables. Winnie also attended a Cadaver workshop in March 2019 hosted by Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine, learning facial anatomy and structures in order to perform safe injections. In June 2019, she attended the Advanced Techniques training course at Seamless Health & Medical Aesthetics which further expanded her skills including tear troughs, fat dissolving injections, hand rejuvenation, earlobe augmentation, and other advanced injections. Winnie continues to attend trainings for cosmetic injections whenever possible to keep her skills up to date.
Winnie has further training and certifications in medical-grade skin care and popular skin treatments such as dermaplaning, microneedling, chemical peels, and more. She increased her skin care knowledge and skills through skin care lines that she carries: AlumierMD, AnteAGE MD, Zo Skin Health, GlyMed Plus, and Green Envee. She is continuously seeking education in skin care to stay on top of current techniques and trends and to enhance her client's treatment experience. She has a passion to help clients look and feel their best while achieving a natural appearance. She believes in using medical-grade products in all facial treatments and home care in order to obtain real results.
Winnie's nursing experience includes geriatric care in retirement and long term care homes, post-surgical care unit, and dermatological care. Winnie's most recent experience was as a nurse in a dermatology office performing skin consultations, biopsies & suturing, surgical assisting, educating patients proper mole surveillance and skin care. Working in dermatology for over 4 years allowed Winnie to learn more about the current aesthetic trends and has led Winnie to pursue her passion in becoming a medical aesthetic nurse injector.
Winnie is a registered member of Registered Practical Nurse Association of Ontario (now WeRPN) and College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) with no restrictions to practice as a nurse.
